Chilling Clues as to the Identity of the Antichrist

     For countless centuries, biblical scholars and pundits alike have tried to unravel the mysteries surrounding the identity of the antichrist as foretold in the Bible, most specifically in the Book of Daniel and Revelation. So, the most pertinent question for all of humanity: Who is the antichrist and can he be stopped? But before we preview the actual biblical evidence and clues surrounding the identity of the antichrist, let us first examine the word "antichrist" itself. In the dictionary "anti" means opposed to; against. And the word "opposed" would indicate opposite or contradictory. So, the antichrist would almost certainly be the polar opposite of Christ. Where Jesus was humble, the antichrist would be egotistical and arrogant. Where Jesus taught forgiveness, the antichrist would seek retribution. Where Jesus would emphasis love and kindness, the antichrist would be cruel and hateful. And Jesus himself taught that the rich had no place in heaven. From Matthew 19:24, Jesus said this, "Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God." So, the antichrist would undoubtedly be wealthy, perhaps a billionaire, with complete distain for the poor, the destitute and the broken. These are just some of the clues that we must consider in identifying the antichrist.   

     The antichrist is described in Thessalonians as the ‘lawless one.' This first clue in and of itself is very chilling. This would indicate the antichrist is above the law, or the law doesn't apply to him. Perhaps its a convicted criminal who never actually went to jail for his crimes? Or perhaps this individual has been granted immunity for past, present, and future crimes? Does this sound like any world leader you know? Next, the Book of Daniel describes the antichrist as a pathological liar who will ‘throw truth to the ground.’ So, lying for the antichrist would be so rampant that a truthful statement might never leave his lips. And with social media, these rampant lies would circle the globe within seconds, and soon the lies of the antichrist would be presumed to be accurate and true. In Daniel 11:36, the antichrist will show no compassion or empathy. In Revelation, the antichrist is known as the ‘arrogant one’ and will constantly ‘try and make himself look great.’ Does any of this sound like any politician you know, perhaps a boastful and non-empathetic world leader who throws military parades to honor himself?

     In Genesis, the antichrist will be the ‘builder of towers.’ Can you think of any powerful world figure known for building towers, or perhaps hotels or casinos? And again, from the Book of Daniel, the antichrist will be called ‘little horn.’ While this biblical clue might seem obscure and meaningless, it becomes quite chilling if we dig a little deeper. If you think of a "little horn" as being the horn of an animal, perhaps a goat, ram, or even a rhino, it would seem to make little sense. But if you think of a "little horn" like a musical instrument, perhaps a trumpet, the clue becomes much more chilling. Perhaps the antichrist will have a name that sounds like "trumpet" and his characteristics will mirror that of a trumpet, loud and boisterous? 

     The Book of Revelation prophesized the followers of the antichrist will wear his mark on their foreheads. Again, this can be quite confusing, if we are looking for a mark like a branding of a cow. But what if the mark is not an actual scar or branding, but rather the logo on a cap? For example, the Cincinnati Reds baseball team wears the logo "C" on their red caps indicating what group or organization each member is a part of. The players are literally wearing that mark on their foreheads! Can you think of any world leader who has literally made his cap famous by the sheer number of people that wear the logo or motto of said leader on their forehead?  

     But for me the most chilling and revealing biblical clue of the identity of the antichrist also comes from the Book of Revelation, “I saw that one of the heads of the beast seemed wounded beyond recovery, but the fatal wound was healed! The whole world marveled at this miracle and gave allegiance to the beast." This chilling clue would seem to indicate an assassination attempt. For example, if either Abraham Lincoln or John F. Kennedy had not only survived, but made a full recovery, they would fully match this particular prophecy of the Bible. But is there another president, world leader or cult figure who has been shot in the head and made a complete recovery? Perhaps the head injury, though it bled, leaves not even a wound or scar? And with this "miracle" his followers would worship him in adoration. 

     I have given you a lot of factual biblical clues and information to process. For most of you, these clues point directly to one man living today. For others, facts and evidence may not matter. Devotion to the antichrist may override cognitive thinking and rational reasoning. We don't have to be destroyed by the antichrist. The world as we know it doesn't have to end if enough wise souls stand against his darkness and destruction. I would encourage you to share these chilling clues as to the identity of the antichrist with other concerned friends, family and acquaintances. As a collective conscience, we have the power to save and reshape humanity.
